Cabinets of Reminiscence
at Designblok 2025
7—12 October 2025
BOMMA unveiled its unique installation Cabinets of Reminiscence during Designblok 2025, set within the extraordinary interiors of the iconic Cubist Kovařovic Villa on Prague’s Rašín Embankment.
One villa. Seven rooms. Seven chapters of a story that may never have happened. Light became the silent observer, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion. Each room revealed BOMMA’s hand-blown crystal lighting pieces embedded in a site-specific set design by acclaimed Czech scenographer Marek Cpin, who infused the villa with a dramatic atmosphere, theatrical poetics, and unexpected associations. The atmosphere of each scene was enhanced by scents from Pigmentarium, which added another sensory dimension to the installation. The villa thus transformed into a collection of emotions, images, light, and memories.
Visitors stepped into The Cabinets of Reminiscence and lost themselves in a choreography of light, atmosphere, and emotion.
We would like to thank everyone who visited, shared this experience with us, and became part of the story of Cabinets of Reminiscence.
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the iconic Tim light, BOMMA introduced a limited edition of ten pieces inside the villa, created in collaboration with Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle and DSC Gallery.
In this anniversary edition, the Tim light takes on the artist’s distinctive signature — each piece bears his spontaneous painterly gesture, with strokes of black spray paint and neon pink acrylic contrasting beautifully with the purity of hand-blown crystal.
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Tim light, BOMMA presents a limited edition of only ten pieces, created in collaboration with German artist Anselm Reyle.
