Introducing Coocoo’s Nest — a bespoke lighting installation composed of 140 pcs of mouthblown crystal capsules designed by Kateřina Handlová. Nestled inside the iconic, newly opened Fairmont Golden Prague, this striking installation places precision-cut crystal in a bold brutalist setting and conveys a layered narrative that extends beyond design.
Inspired by the timeless novel and film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, this bespoke installation by BOMMA takes the form of a crystal nest made of pill-shaped lighting — a poetic reference to the story’s deeper symbolism. The decor on the capsules represents the traditional cut of whiskey glass. Coocoo’s Nest thoughtfully reflects on themes of constraint, identity, and escape through the language of refined design and luminous craftsmanship.
