After decades, we are bringing Czech beer back into Czech glass.

After 20 years, Czech crystal beer glasses are making their way into restaurants and pubs.

In collaboration with UMPRUM and Ambiente, we are introducing new beer glasses for the Ambiente and Lokál restaurant chains.

The whole idea was born from an initiative by the heads of the Product Design Studio at UMPRUM, professors Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček from the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, who have been collaborating with the BOMMA glassworks for a long time. They assigned their students a semester project with the aim of building on traditional Czech beer mugs. They invited Ambiente founder Tomáš Karpíšek to collaborate, and together with students, glassmakers, and beer experts from the PIVO Institute, they began to move the idea from the academic environment into practice. The process took more than a year and a half, and from twenty designs, two final models were ultimately selected—one for Lokál and one for Ambiente.

Ambiente beer mugs reflect the combination of top-quality craftsmanship and modern technology – something that is typical for BOMMA. We can connect the work of many specialists across production, resulting in products that would be very difficult to create elsewhere. We always want to produce the perfect product, whether it’s a design lighting or a beer mug.

The new glasses will first be available to try in five restaurants: Lokál Dlouhááá and Korunní, Kantýna, Kuchyně, and Brasileiru Slovanský dům.
