This year’s laureates of the Czech Architecture Award received a trophy that itself tells a story of the connection between architecture and glassmaking. Designed by Lenka Damová and Boris Klimek, the piece was brought to life in collaboration with Bomma, the official partner of this prestigious competition organized by the Czech Chamber of Architects.
The glass TUBUS, inspired by the architectural tube used for drawings, symbolizes precision, creativity, and respect for craftsmanship. Each piece was meticulously handcrafted in Bomma’s glassworks, where traditional techniques meet technological innovation and contemporary design.
More than just a trophy, TUBUS stands as a tribute to Czech architecture and reflects Bomma’s long-term commitment to supporting the local design scene and collaborating with architects on projects where light, space, and glass come together in perfect harmony.
