The studio was founded in 1990 by Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček during their studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Since finishing their studies, they have been involved in industrial design, design of furniture, architecture and interiors. They received several awards in the past – the Grand Prix of the Architects' Union and the Interior of the Year award. They often exhibit at home and abroad – for example in gallery Moss, Radio House and Totem in New York, Vessel in London, and regularly at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Their work is a part of private collections as well as collections of significant museums – the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, Museum of Moravia in Brno or the Metropolitan Museum in N. Y. Their work is published in Czech and foreign designer magazines. Both designers lead the workshop of design products at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design.

František Vízner studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in the workshop of glass, glyptic art, and applied sculpture (under prof. Karel Štipl and doc. Václav Plátek). He creates glass objects by shaping them through cutting. He is one of the legends of Czech glass making. Since the 1960s, his work has been widely recognized not only with the manufacturers but also in the business sector. In 1977, František Vízner left the industry and started to fully devote his time to studio design; his cut-glass objects cannot be perceived as items of every-day use, but unique sculptures influenced by architecture. His work is represented in the collection of the Prague National Gallery, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, the Glass Museum in Corning, USA and many other public and private collections.

Graduate of the AAAD in Prague, Maxim Velčovský focuses on the design of products and their relationship to their surroundings. In 2002 he co-founded the Qubus design studio. His designs are characterised by particular concept work, Velčovský often gives old objects a new sense, and he calls this process ‘restarting’. He has taken part in dozens of exhibitions and his work is included in, e.g. the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Neue Pinakothek in Munich or the Mudac in Lausanne. He won the Designer of the Year award for his work in 2007.

"It is exciting to design things and work with space. It means looking for optimal shapes, materials, and technologies in relation to function." Jiří Pelcl’s studio is among the leading design studios in the Czech Republic. Professor Architect Jiří Pelcl teaches at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he was the chancellor in 2002-2005. Besides practical activities he deals with the theory of design, he publishes texts and as a guest he lectures at both domestic and foreign schools. He has created a lot of interiors of prestigious buildings. His work is represented in the collections of many design museums.

Studio Koncern Design was founded in 2000 by two designers Jiří Přibyl and Martin Imrich. They create design of consumer products for Czech as well as global manufacturers. They work with furniture, car accessories, lighting fixtures, promotional products, textile products and last but not least glass design. Their conceptual approach employed in non-commercial projects is also reflected in their commercial work. They don’t follow any stylistic line common for all projects but rather focus on conceptual integrity of every single project. Studio Koncern received the prestigious red dot award (2008, 2009)
